21 November 2006, Budapest – KUERT GROUP is using revolutionary new technology to combat the growing problem of flash memory data loss. The world-leading IT security specialist was among the first to conduct research into the capabilities of this emerging technology, and has developed its own special techniques for recovering the data from flash-based storage media, which are unrecoverable using traditional methods. 1 August 2006 Budapest – Summer storms and flooding make this one of the most dangerous seasons from the point of view of IT security. Fresh statistics released by the KÜRT Group reveal that almost half of the computer malfunctions that occur during the summer months result from data loss caused by natural evironmental factors. The most important means of preventing such data loss is the correct storage of the computers and backed-up data. However, if the worst has already happened, it is better to seek expert advice than to attempt a home repair, recommends KÜRT.

The prize is awarded to those companies that are highly concerned about the health of their employees. The prizegiving and the seminar presenting the winners’ methods was held in the ballroom of Hilton Budapest Westend on 16thNovember 2004. Budapest - Awareness test, electronic safety deposit box and information top manager. Starting from July, KÜRT Rt. has extended its offerings by three new information security elements – two unique software products and a new service. Preparation against unexpected IT events (incidents) is aided by KÜRT’s Security Awareness Test (SAT) service. This is connected with KÜRT’s own developed software preventing internal data stealth, Data Defender, the „electronic safety deposit box”. The third new element is DocMan, which is also a result of KÜRT’s development and which enables structured management of mass information. The company expects extension of its portfolio to increase its income by 10%. The software will be marketed in Hungary, Germany and Austria, and German and English language versions have been prepared in addition to Hungarian.

Budapest, 20th September 2005 – The KÜRT Co. received the ‘Family Friendly Workplace Prize 2005’ in the medium sized enterprises category. The prize was presented to the winners by Ms. Kinga Göncz MD Minister of Youth, Family, Social Affairs, and Equal Opportunities, and by Gábor Csizmár , Minister of Employment and Labour, during results ceremony in Cupola Hall, the great vaulted hall of the MTA (Hungarian Academy of Sciences). KÜRT Co's prize was received by József Kmetty, Managing Director.

KÜRT and Veszprém University jointly open Information Security Research and Development Centre

Budapest – in a joint project KÜRT ZRt. and the University of Veszprém have opened an Information Security Research and Development Centre for the development of integrated information security methodologies and technologies. The centre’s mission is to create world-class, professionally sound and scientifically researched techniques and products that will satisfy the needs emerging in the domestic and EU markets, thereby improving Hungary's competitiveness. The three-year project has a total budget of HUF 378 million, a portion of which has been received in the form of research grants awarded under the Jedlik Ányos program. Even by international standards, the integrated security concept pioneered by KÜRT and the University of Veszprém is a unique initiative.
